Delightful little handmade antique chemise will make a cute and cool summer dress or nightgown.
Short linen A-line chemise or slip is hand embroidered with colourful flowers at the neckline and has the neck and sleeve edges finished with marigold yellow blanket stitch. There are no shoulder seams, the garment has been cut in one piece and folded. Originally hand hemmed with cotton thread, although part of the hem has been machined stitched later to repair. Felled side seams. It just pulls on over the head, no closures. 1920s or older.
