Gorgeous sheer, ivory silk georgette blouse has intricate silk lace inserted at the sweetheart shaped yoke and appliqued silk and embroidery worked over the lace. Insertion work also at the points of the small, shaped collar. There's a little fixed tie beneath the collar. Bracelet length sleeves have a tiered doubled cuff with embroidery and fasten with snaps. Front edge is scalloped - closes at the front with glass buttons. It's also darted into the waist where it would be tucked into a skirt. No labels - 1940s.

Condition
Very good. The blouse has been altered to make it smaller at the side seams and sleeves and there is some puckering at the seams. A pin prick sized hole in one sleeve upper front, as shown.
